>(how about one of those Eventide Harmonizer type boxes? anybody?)
The Harmonizers are full of algorithms that can be coreced into thru zero
flanging...parallel delay lines (there one that offers 6 modulated delays in
parallel), and some mixing capabilities. They also seem to include a lot
more wackiness as well, like added filtering or pitchshifting. This is in
the now geriatric H3000 with SE firmware...I'm sure the newer boxes are even
better.
There's a couple of patches that do some really cool flanging tricks. One
is the "manual flange" that lets you adjust the delay line with the big
knob. There's another called "death flange" that I've overused in the past.
It can render that tearing sound head at the start of Chrome's "TV as Eyes."
Another box I've used to experiment with thru zero flanging is the Clavia
Nord Modular. It's got a delay line component that's up to the task. At
one point I was trying to do a quadrature flanger (one fixed and 4 modulated
delays) with it, but it didn't seem to get much more intense than the 2 line
version...diminishing returns pretty rapidly.

Didn't TC Electronics make a pedal that did thru zero flanging?
