[sdiy] [AH] analog video synthesizers

A bit of a different question:

Anyone seen/played with/own an old Fairlight video synth? How were these
configured? Were they RGB or NTSC?

I saw one used in a performance in the mid 80's in SF Bay Area and
thought the effects rather unique and interesting.

Also, there was a device called a Chromatron (sp?) that was an analog
device that would respond to control voltages.

I wonder if there are any schems of these around? Perhaps they're to old
for the parts to be available, but ideas, ideas...
