Little 1KW, or more, spark-gap transmitters aren't that difficult to
build... but Uncle Sammy Screwge (as we all know, he likes to think
of himself as Uncle Earnie, however, and thinks of all of the
citizens, male or female, as representing his nephew Tommy, as he
fiddles about with them, as most U.S. citizens have become deaf, dumb
and blind to his corruption, mindless bureaucracy, constraints on
their liberty and freedom, and his blatant thieft from them, and are
helpless at stopping his fiddling about with them - if you don't get
the meaning of this, listen to the rock opera "Tommy," and you'll see
the, all too perversely real, similarities) doesn't appear to be too
keen on those old fashioned, and really neato, communications devices.
Getting this thread back on-topic, a small spark-gap transmitter,
operating at a low power lever, without the antenna connected, of
course, should have some interesting music synthesis
applications... has anyone experimented with this? Just be careful
using it near ICs in case the power level isn't low enough. :-)
