thanks for all the replies to my hoe ;) to build.. actually all this
fuzz is about my school. i´m going to graduate in the spring to be an
electrician.. (or whatever the name of a person is who repairs broken radios
etc :? ).
what i really wanted was to make a sound generating device which i could
then play.. but i guess building a fully functional synthesizer from nothing
to it´s greatness would be a bit too much for now. has anyone got any
(..simple.. i don´t even know all of the english vocab in synths.. i am
finnish u know..sorry. :-| ) suggestions for what i could do to make a
simple tone generating device with the same principle as is in real
synthesizers. i´ve looked around and i found that a 555 circuit can be used
as a vco plus i found a simple organ circuit from here
http://www.physicsenterprises.andrews.edu/diy_archive/schematics/synths/penf
old/Fig08.gif maybe with a simple vcf combined it would do the thing for
now. (..i don´t know. maybe yall are just laughing to my funny ideas,
atleast i am ;)
so.. this is my first ever do-it-myself project. all i´ve done this far is
repairing and because the project is for the school, buying everything
doesn´t get me anywhere. i have to DO stuff.
but still.. maybe a midi-->cv could be a good idea to start with though
(not that i like it as much as i like a real analog keyboard). it´s going to
be a long dark and nasty winter soon, so all i´ve got is time for the next
1/2 year. come and visit sometime and you´ll understand ;) and my enthusiasm
for analog instruments isn´t going anywhere!
..i shoul be sleeping. got to go to school in five hours. damn. good nite
sakke
