[sdiy] How accurate?

(puts on crusty old man hat)

I'm not sure what the issue here is. It's 2002, not 1977. Why *waste* hours and hours screwing
around when you can get FREE SAMPLES of the accurate parts. And, even if you went to Digikey etc
and bought the equivalent Linear Tech parts, or went to Newark and bought the Analog Devices
equivalent, it's under $20.

If you don't want to spend $20 to get the stable, accurate DAC that's driving your VCO CV, it's
time for a new hobby.

I'm sure there are those out there that enjoy taking parts out of old TV sets and trying to build
a synth out of them. Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. Conclusion: WASTE OF EFFORT. Man,
if I had Mouser back in 1975 when I started........

(OK, removes crusty old man hat)
