I have a catalog from the company that makes the CD chips, they are a mainland 
chinese co. that copies consumer ICs used in TV etc. They just badge their
copies CD,
presumably so they can't be accused of selling under false pretenses.
Maybe some companies defend their chip prefixes. 

I couldn't find anything else on their list that was useful for AH, by the
way :(
