Hi,

Some years ago I experimented with Barberpole/Sheppard tones using Octave
(free Matlab clone) to generate some waveforms, and SOX (free sound file
conversions utilities) to convert them to WAV format. Then downloaded
them to my EMu ESI32 sampler and played them a bit. Quite interesting.
If anyone's got an ESI32 I have put the ESI32 disk image on my website:
http://www.milton.arachsys.com/nj71/shepherd.out
Use rawrite.exe (DOS/Win32) or dd (UNIX/Linux) to transfer it onto a
floppy disk and load into your ESI32. Unfortunately having just moved I'm
not in a position to create a WAV file for general listening...any kind
souls out there who could??
Neil
