Since I was looking at his page again: He also observed that although the
EPROMs seemed to be erased at 5V operation voltage after 3 minutes, the
stored data re-appeared if he powered the EPROMs only with 3V. (It took
10 minutes to completely erase the data.)
Maybe using only 3V you can read out the contents of your EPROMs.
