As somebody who has had extensive experience with the Organic Core
Flux (Kester 331), in fact, nearly 20 years, don't worry about the
water. At the place I worked when we started using the stuff, we would put
the boards into a dishwasher. In fact, the boards that were in progress
would go into the dishwasher so some of them would go through the wash
several times...never had a single component failure that could be traced
to the water. And we even washed the trimmer pots. I do not recomend
using your home dishwasher, I just use an old tooth brush. Having an air
compressor, however, is a big help. After I wash my boards, I blow the
water off. However, you do need to wait overnight for them to completely
dry before you power them up...I have had some interesting "results" doing
that.
