[sdiy] question about pot size?

Pot quality is more important that size.  Small post do encourage you to 
put them closer together....it may be that this was more the complaint...I 
don't know.

You do have to find a nice pot that you like.  And sometimes, the price of 
the pot has nothing to do with quality.  I have some pots I paid $5 each 
for...and one of them had the wiper loose contact with the resistive 
element.  Took me a bit to figure this out...although, turning the pot 
cures the problem...

For general purpose panels, I like the Xicon pots that you can get from 
mouser...Very inexpensive ($1 < ) and they seem to have fairly good 
reliability...
