Same here. My mother still has it, and plays it, and it still has all my
desperate attempts to creat something really analogue-like stored
in its patches. (;->)
IMO the D-50 was much better than the "real" ROMplers that followed.
It even had PWM - four Layers of PWM which could be modulated
from different controllers! AFAIK this was dropped by Roland in
the D-70, and only re-introduced much later.
The first VA synth in mass production.
