[sdiy] Custom faceplates

i was about to ask the same question. the way i did it in planning mine is
not in software, but in hardware..;-)
let me explain. i have the box, inclusing blank faceplate for my synth. the
look i really like is that of mike brown (electronium)'s suitcase synth. i
downloaded a bunch of pictures from his modules from his site, modified them
in photoshop to give them the proper in/outs, names, etc. , then prinited
them out on paper, and cut them out.
the faceplate is covered in paper with a lined grid. all i have to do is
take my small pile of 'paper modules' and start moving things around to see
what the best place is.
but yeah, iut'd be a lot easier to do in software..;-)
