[sdiy] PAIA 9700 -- experiences?

I haven't built a 9700 series, however I did build the PAiA Quadrafuzz for
a friend a few years ago. It was ok, but the quality simply isn't there
compared
to say Paul's MOTM gear. Also it was impossible to find an off the shelf
rack
case for the front panel (the controls were mounted very close to the ends
where
it fits into the rack). The jacks were quite flimsy, and the pcb was
attached to
the front panel simply by attaching it to screws holding the switches. Not
exactly
strong, and wouldn't hold up to a live environment!

Having said all this, the actual sound of the unit was very very good, and
has been
100% reliable ever since (but its still not mounted in a box). I dare say
that the 9700
would be in the same league.
