Signal i/o is at normal line levels - at least that's what I'm using and
it doesn't sound too distorted.
I usually hook it up between a polysynth and the mixer, then add a bit
of delay and reverb. Very soupy.
As for the external CV input, I'm afraid I haven't used it.
I've been planning to install the second phaser into my modular and play
with envelope modulation rather than LFO sweeps, but that's some way
down the list of things to do.
If I stick to my new year's resolution to 'actually get things done', I
might find out soon ;-)

Juergen has drawn two sections of schematic for his version of the
phaser. I've got a scan of the original schematics from the Quadra, so I
must have downloaded that from somewhere. JH's schemas should tell you
all you need to know...
