[sdiy] ARP slide pots

Hi All,

Two questions:
1) What is the best way to clean & lubricate ARP slide pots?

2) For the pots that are too far gone, where can I find replacements? I see
all sorts of slide pots in the Mouser and Digi-Key catalogs, but I want to
match the shaft style and look of the originals as closely as possible. Any
NOS sliders lurking in someone's spare parts bin somewhere? I also would
appreciate any caveats or tips from others who have replaced Odyssey and
Avatar sliders.

BTW, the Odyssey sliders are from a black and gold MKII, and the Avatar
sliders are the late model 'orange face' models. I might also need some
shaft caps/knobs. The Ody uses those funky little colored plastic 'condoms'
but the Avatar has rather nice looking rectangular plastic pieces. Thanks in
advance for any info.
