[sdiy] Gated Comparator > Resistor Sizes?

Hi Edward!
The sizes typically represent the wattage and for that circuit any wattage
will do ( "quarter watt" is preferred) however, the Stone Gated Comparator
(I've built about twenty of them myself) requires 1% precision resistors for
the comparator ladder chain.
These really do effect the performance of this particular gem and I'd
recommend that you order the resistors from www.Mouser.com
Mouser is also on the phone at (800) 346-6873 (this is how I do it)
and the two parts that need to be 1 percent precision 1/4 watt resistors
are the 100k and 200 k resistors, ( I just do them all precision in this
case because they're so cheap but you don't need to only the 100k and 200k
values)
Try Part numbers:
ME 271-100K and
ME 271-200K
If I can answer any more questions about it feel free.
It's a delightful circuit - have fun with it !

and Ricardo Roman's great piece "Milky Wave" uses it extensively
