[sdiy] ARP slide pots

I've refurbished several arps by pulling all the sliders, opening them (very
carefully, they break easily at the anchoring tabs the best way is to use
two pairs of needlenose pliers, one to hold the tab at the bottom of the
clamp, one to slowly ease open the top) washing them out with soap and
water (Dr. Bronner's is the best) then spraying them with a cleaner (Deoxit
is good, but a contact cleaner WITH lube is better) and putting them back
together. This is a very lengthy process and is only really neccessary in
extreme cases of fader disrepair (which arp's seem to show up with pretty
frequently). It might be worth is to go over them with a contact cleaner
with lube first to figure out which ones need the big guns.
Good Luck,
Gavin
(slowly opening and washing all the faders on a white faced odyssey)
