    In my case, I knew what the noise output of the 10 ohm resistor was
(measure the temperature and calculate it out), and being wirewound, it was
fairly ideal at the frequencies we were concerned with...then it is just a
matter of measuring the noise on the output and subtracting off the
contribution due to the resistor (not a simple subtraction, noise adds by
the square root sum of the squares...).
