Hi Brett:
sounds like you are about to invent the Multilayer PCB (where power and
ground use internal planes) ;^P
The most important point is to connect the grounds like they are a sewage
disposal system (for used electrons)... so you don't want to connect your
kitchen sink to your toilet (lest it back up and....)
Separate ground returns for low noise circuits and high current circuits (LEDs
etc) are a good idea.
There is an archive of this list (somewhere) and there have been lengthy discussions
about grounding.... (not to say I'm not interested in doing this thread again...
but
I do type with only three fingers....)
