I found out (to my chagrin) that the MC1495 linear
multiplier chip is discontinued by Motorola and Philips.
(low demand, process problems, sic!).
Later I found out that ON Semiconductor Inc. seems to
habe bought the rights, they seem to make them now.
I think that the 1495 could be still interesting
because it allows for designing the bias currents
to your needs. And it should cost only 2 EUR.
Big differnce to the remaining AD types.
I've seen that Arrows/Spoerle carry them in Germany,
but they won't sell to individuals.
Are there any other possibilities to get some
of these chips?
