Yo,
The use I thought of was to tune/track/calibrate VCOs.
They have nice clean outputs that reduce the need for
front-end processing. Just AC couple and a
zero-crossing detector and you're there. Complex
signals would probably confuse the beast. As for
outputting midi ... well, I'm not sure about timing.
Just when does the note on/off occur?
