thank you gentlemen for all the kind words. my wife came up with the idea
and made them, so all credits go to her.
the paint is called 'porcelain paint', the one we use is by a company called
Talens, but i'm sure other brands carry it too. for sale in art supply
stores, and it needs to be hardened in the oven. thisa turns the paint into
almost a plastic layer, which seems durable.
doing it this way is pretty labour intensive as it takes several layers to
get this effect. the paints are all solid different colours, and there's
things like silver and copper as well. so i guess all kinds of designs are
possible.
as for selling them.. well, if the paint is really durable, i could set up a
small sweat shop in a shed and employ the local amsterdam grannies..;-) but
serious, if there's interest in them, mail me and we'll see..
thye're going on a white panel, which i think should look really nice.
