[sdiy] "obsolete" 2N3906

Mouser shows "stock available" for several variants in TO-92. Does anyone here
have any (general) info on what the difference between one variant and another
is given that they are all TO-92? Ie, will one work as well as another in most
analogue synth circuits? (after all, we don't use them to pilot a space ship to
Jupiter) Being a linear guy, for the most part, I use 2N3906 (in darlington
config) in linear V-I converters. I have never had to choose particular 2N3906
parts for this purpose. Whatever I have in the box has always worked for me.
But it does look like I ought to go get at least 100 of these now, while I still
can. (and the 2N3904)...
I really do hate this.

- Hydrogen is pointless without solar.
- That which gets rewarded, gets done.
- What good are laws that only lawyers understand?
- The media's credibility should always be questioned.
- Governments do nothing well, save collect taxes.
