Hi all,

I can only add my opinion to this discussion on electronic
engineering studies and degrees: I have a computer science
degree from a respected university and a master of arts in
music science and technology. I'm currently in a PhD program
in EE. After all this studying, I can tell you all that
all this theory only got my a decent background to build upon.
I have almost zero electronics knowledge, and I've realized
that software development in the 'real world' is still miles and
miles away from the software development assignments (sometimes
projects worth a year of programming) I got at the university.
I'm happy I invested in my education, but sometimes I wonder
if I shouldn't have used the internet to study only what I'm
interested in, my own way.

Just my 2 cents.

Bert.
