Heh, fun [off] topic.  My electronics history:  My grandfather was an iron
worker at Bethlehem steel (RIP...) but electronics was his hobby.  I used to
dig into his basement lab when I visited (with his help) which was of course
tubes and such given the timeframe.  Strange, I was always more interested in
taking things apart than putting them together.  Anyway, when I was around 5
years old, I remember squirting a bottle of cleaner into the back of his
brand-spankin-new Zenith console and watching the sparks.

Well, needless to say, I grew up a software engineer. :)
