[sdiy] My Odyssey can't talk!!

I'm in a jam.  I've got an Arp Odyssey II and it can't talk.  If I send the output to a mic pre and jack it up I can hear envelopes, LFO, and I think the VCA wants to work right, BUT, I definately get no response or signal out of the Filter.  The previous owner didn't tell me that it had been dropped.  Inside is fairly clean for it's age.  Nothing noticeably out of place.  To all that have experience, are these the symptoms of a dead VCF?
