That's odd, lack of playing skill doesn't seem to stop a lot of the other
synth artists I've heard. 'Ever listen to techno? :)

If nothing else, just patch the synths into the mixer, turn on the
recorder, and forget about it. It could be sort of like the audio version
of a reality-TV show. Once you forget the recorder is running, people relax
and interesting things start happening. Then all you have to do is
carefully sift through the recording and preserve a few of the more
interesting bits for posterity.
If you set out to create something too "serious", then everyone might get
tense, and all the fun (and all the magic) would be gone.
