[sdiy] Vactrol matching ( Was Do LDRs and/or LEDs age?)

I assume Don Buchla was testing for a specific resistance at a given LED current.
 Does anyone have the specifics of the criteria for matching that he used?  Was
it a curve of several testpoints, or just "this vactrol is X ohms at X mA LED
current" at one point?
