Hey, what's to say that synthesizers can't be used to control the
circuitry for big klysterons and other laboratory equipment in a mad
scientist's lab? Years ago, I remember watching a movie or TV show
where a mad scientist performed his dastardly deeds, with delight, by
playing an organ which controlled various things. Not sure if it was
an Avengers episode or an old 1950's black & white horror movie.

Just think of the wide-ranging possibilities of synthesizer controlled
labs/dungeons for mad scientists... sound-operated relays,
frequency-sensitive variacs, sound-pressure operated valves, MIDI
controlled circuit panels, vibration sensitive bunsen-burners...

                      Muhahahahaha!
