I second that one. The teflon sleeving you buy seems different from what
is usually on coated wire. It seems softer, and it stays bent better.
I really dislike teflon coated wire, although I use it because it was what
I could get at the salvage place I used to go to.
My favorite solid hookup wire is some #28 with a real thin coating that I
also picked up out of scrap. I don't know what the insulation is, but it
doesn't melt easily and it *does* strip easily. I've looked all over for
something similar, but can't find anything like that being made. Probably
a potential fire hazard or something. (quivver)
I aslo like telephone wire, but the old kind was better that what you get
now, which is way too soft.
Why does the good stuff always go away?
