Don't overlook the idea of using large beads for control knobs. Smaller
ones could also be used for toggle bats or fader caps. *Then* you start
covering your patch cables with beads for that matching ensemble look!
Personally I'd like to have armored patch cords, like the cables used on
public telephone handsets. Match those with chrome-plated front panels for
a ruggedly handsome modular synth.
