It was the same thickness as a fairly normal (I'm no expert!) patch cord - 
which, considering that part of it was steel wrapping, leads (sorry) me to 
believe that underneath there was minimal insulation.  I didn't take it apart 
as the sales droid was giving me the evil eye.  Regardless, I thought it was 
slightly more sensitive to hum than a normal lead, which was disappointing.
