Hello, Couple of questions and comments. Does anyone have or could point me to plans for a simple audio mixer. My DAW is growing now to about 6 PC's and 8 midi synths plus I plan to build a synth or 2 or 3 in the somewhat near future. I don't want filtering and I don't think I need volume pots since all of the devices can be controlled by midi. I just need a stereo mixer for monitoring with a 2nd buss to send to a PC sound card for recording. Way back in the mid seventies was a TV show that aired Friday nights called the Midnight Special it featured performances of the pop groups popular at the time. One Friday I was watching it with my cousin and he noted "Oh that's a synthesizer" "What's a synthesizer?" I asked "Any sound that doesn't sound like the instruments you see" he replied. And there lit a little fire in my mind. Later that year I start junior high and my homeroom was in the library, where I happened upon Radio Electronics magazine's articles about building the PAIA 2700. so I think(maybe) the first synth I going to build is going to be the "Scary 2700" (VCO,Noise,VCBPF,VCLPF,VCA,Glide,LFO,ADSR,AR) My idea (Scary) is to have at the input of each filter 6 VCA's summed together(Ramp,Triangle,Pulse-from the VCO,Noise,Feedback from the filter, and the output of the other filter)and at the input of the finale VCA- 6 VCA's(Ramp,Triangle,Pulse-from the VCO,Noise,VCBPF out,VCLPF out)---maybe not, but I like the idea of using multiple VCA's for wave shaping. Next question. Does anyone have any good CV mixer schematics (scaling, inverting etc.). Also, has any one played with the ASM 1 VCO can it be tuned down to be a VCLFO? Any plans to put up a web page or ftp site to exchange schematics,PCB artwork,Etc.. I have a dozen or so issues of POLYPHONY that I would be willing to scan and post (providing it doesn't step on anyone's Copyright toes.)
