[sdiy] new project

if you want to get started, building a whole synth may not be a good idea. how about kits from modules? choose your manufacturer and go. if you're really adventurous, some guys here sell bare pcb's that are cheap. you'll have to provied the box and knobs. start small.

if you want to get real bare-bones, try something like the 555 oscillator chip that'll work in a variety of projects, lots of info and schamatics online. this'll give you a feel for real diy without being too complicated. and no, it doesn't sound good, but it's simple..

hi i wanted to ask you what is a easy way to start in building synths. i guess this is somehow a frequent question but i am new here and i am willing to build something relatively easy

i have heard that the fatman is a good choice or maybe asm-1... any suggestions?? something with a midi input.

ps: i rather build something very easy rather than something that sounds very good... it is just for getting started.

  thanx in advance!!
