When dipping my nose in the Farnell catalogue I could find surface mount
resistors up to 50G ohm from Tyco/Electronics CGS. The values isn't exactly
E196 selection..
I'm sure you find more if you look around.
I have a few 1/8W 1G Ohm in my mike... so they should be around.
