Just a note of interest.
My reason for using a through zero design was to reverse panning direction
under voltage control. So, positive voltages pan clockwise and negative
voltages pan counter-clockwise.
This is better than a phase reverse switch on the sine signal.
Another dumb question, is the assigning of sine and cosine labels arbitrary?
In clockwise panning, sine leads cosine, but in reverse panning, cosine
leads negative sine.
