So you want to use a pitch shifter (among other things) to improve the 
sound quality of a BBD delay. But how is this pitch shifter built? With 
a BBD again? Or digital? Or this rotating tape head thing? As I 
understand it, a pitch shifter always involves a short delay (reads and 
writes at different rates), so once you got a good pitch shifter the 
delay comes for free.

Or are you talking about a frequency shifter?
