[sdiy] bi-quad filters

Hello,
I'm doing a project for school which involves the DSP-chip TAS3103. I'm
building a Mixer out of it, but it's quite tedious I must say. One thing is
something I really cannot seem to find information about, and that's how the
"bi-quad" filters work. I even don't really know what kind of filters these
actually are. Does anyone may know more about these? Or maby can pinpoint me some
website about this? That would be great.
