I didn't know what should be good about them either (from the
features), until a friend came around and brought his AKS
to play.
It's so different from every other synth - you will always end
up creating sounds that you didn't intend to, because you
can barely change one parameter without slightly changing a couple
of others as well. Amplitude of Trapezoid changes with hold time
at certain attack time settings, DC offset changes vastly
with waveshpe of Sine from Osc 1, same for ramp level and offset
when you change waveform, and so on and so on for practically
every parameter.
But what would be a nightmare on every other "ordinary" modular,
comes nicely in that special package of functions that come
in form of a VCS3 / A.
