What I got out of

is that the 5532 is basically a high-end op-amp at a lowish price.
It's very comparable in performance to the OPA627, but costs
twenty times less. The only area where the OPA627 seems clearly
superior is slew rate (55 V/µs vs. 9 V/µs).

It draws thrice as much current as a TL07X/TL08X and has ten times
less distortion.

I've been kind of wondering why it gets so little use in analogue
synths.
