Michael,
Thanks for the links and your valuable opinion. I have limited rack space
and probably will for a long time. So the idea of a "cordless" patch matrix
interests me. Of course I do see the value in cables and believe me I have a
good nest of them already hanging off the back and front of my rack.

Since it's great fun I also like doing this. But I experienced that the
big "pro" for a modular is it's modularity (whoops, how come?).

have. But even then physical things are not limited as they appear to
be. That's modular fun!

Have a look at VCO made by Oakley, MOTM and synthesizers.com .
They are all great and different.

not at all. But I'm sure you're fine if you start with three of them an
look how things develop.
