hello everyone on this list.

i purchased an ensoniq mr76 from a gentleman in north carolina.
i'm in washington Missouri.
it was packed so well that i couldn't even see that the package had been dropped.
the end plastic piece at the high end of the keyboard is broken loose (about the only sign that it was dropped)

it does not power up.

i opened it and visually nothing looks jarred.

i then tried to power it up open and i could hear the power supply ticking.

i would rather have my money back then have a dead synth

BUT

what if the ticking power supply sounds like something that might be yes both the problem and the easy fix?

you who are familiar with this instrument know that even though it isn't grounbreaking technology, it just sounds good all around.

i've been waiting for another one of these at the right price for seven years.

and FedEx dropped it.

what do you all think?

this is pretty much par for the course for me.

i'm the guy that keeps triing to get some money for the nice vintage synths that are f(*&ed up too. please excuse my english, i don't want to offend anyone who doesn't cuss like a sailor the way i do.
