And the "feel" doesn't come into it (except for the drummer) because, a
simple metal contact gives no dynamics anyhow.
A conductive rubber pad might be a way to get a variable time delay simply,
if one assumes that hitting the pad harder results in a longer contact time.
For someone who only wnats to LOOK like Kraftwerk, I imagine you could get
your drumstick plated ;D
