SPM8:2 - I own one.  I used it in a dance gig years ago.  The MIDI was
limited to program change. 8 in 2 outs. Quite noisy.  Good enough for live.
Not acceptable for recording.  1U.  Terrible heat exchange design with
enclosed power supply.  Requires one to add cooling (muffin fan and case
holes in my case).

Akai made at least 2.  I own two of them.  One is a mixer with level control
only 7 in 6 out.  They made a separate EQ.  I think I have one of thse too.
Again, the MIDI was limited to program change.  No EQ.  1U.  They made a
much larger 8 x 2  (about 7 or 8U tall) with more full features (EQ and
such).  But none of these offered any real time MIDI control.  Just program
change to another mix, fade time between the mixes and I think one has a
channel muting function.  They have been put away for some time.  I'll be
happy to look up post any additional info on these if someone is interested.
