Just purely out of idle curiosity, I wonder what the effect of adding
several more poles to the Hammond line box would do to the sound? Perhaps
one would add more scanning taps to the circuit as well? I know the circuit
is already somewhat cumbersome, but would there be any potential advantages
to (for example) doubling the number of poles, and possibly also increasing
the number of taps?
I happen to have more than one actual Hammond vibrato unit sitting around
here. Perhaps I should try connecting them in series some day, and see what
it sounds like. Even that little exercise wouldn't be a trivial task.
