I'll attest to this. My stallion had a 50-50 chance of throwing his color
patterns, yet in reality, I got it twice in 10 attempts, and one of those
was on a color that would fade to white, hiding the pattern. Also called the
"law of maximum perversity".

This also applies to electronics, particularly CMOS chips. The brand you buy
is guarenteed to be the one brand not tested in the prototype design, and
will have weird timing errors as a result.
