Well said!  It's the good fight of individuality against mind-numbed
conformity.

...because they don't sound cheap and cheesy, they're more solid, more
easily repairable (in most cases... and when parts can't be found, a
hack can usually be made so that something else can be substituted),
and there's something far more satisfying about knobs and switches,
and patch cords, than a boring modern digital synth with an LCD
display.  Ok, I'll admit that I do use some digital synthesis, such as
C-sound, but that's just not the same as heating up the soldering
iron, firing up an old Tektronix 'scope and building a circuit.
