The new Guitar Synth project is ready for PCBs. I'm making a prototype
run of a board that uses the lower three strings of a hex pickup. It has low
note priority (or last note priority). It has a bass audio output derived
from
the divided string...and P/V conversion with hold (after string decay). It
has
a normal gate, and an 'enhanced' gate that is very like a multi-trigger (it
will
retrigger if you have even a one cycle note off... It has envelope follower

output faster than the EDN circuit (since I just happen to know the exact
peak of each cycle, and the zero cross).

It uses a number of S/H to get the N, N-1 pitches, compare them and store the
final
result in another latch when they correlate. It works well enough that it
will become the new standard for my band (replacing the bass guitar synth).
It is as fast as most analog synths
(probably comparable with the Roland GR-300)

I'll make a couple of these for myself, and another interested party. If
anyone
here is up for a board I can order some extras which you can have at cost. It
will
NOT be an entry level project... if there are any layout errors they will be
on the
board (although I am a very experienced designer)

If interested drop me a line off-list and I'll save your info, and contact
you when the
boards are ready to order (prlly a couple weeks yet)
