Update: I couldn't go to bed without a quick repair and a little more
testing. (I know that you can all relate to that. "I'll be just a few more
minutes, honey!" ;-)
As expected, replacing the broken switch made VCO2 work. Yippee! Osc 2 is
switchable between ramp and pulse, and that was the frozen switch.
Fortunately, no components lost any of their precious smoke.
I think that the LFO was working from the get-go. I'm glad that Ray included
Harry Bissell's Ramp/Tri/Saw selector switch. That's a *great* feature. LFO
builders take note!
The VCF is okay, except that I can't bring the cut-off frequency low enough.
Also, the bandwidth in BP mode sounds narrower than I expected. But hey, it
was after midnight, and my testing was limited, so I have not reached any
conclusions.
I love the repeat (loop) feature on the envelope generator. All EGs should
have it.
My only real complaint is that, as Rude66 once said, the front panel wiring
is a bit of a rat's nest. I can't really see how to avoid that, though. That
reminds me, I've got to take some photos of this little monster, as it
currently looks like a real piece of... um... work!
