As a former Gnome owner, I would say it is definitely not worth it.
$200 is steep even for a fully functional unit;  they don't do all that 
much, and your money, time & effort would be better spent on more flexible, 
expandable, USEFUL units.

(PS you might check out ebay -- there's a gnome currently at about $100)
